June 15 is Trinity Sunday, Father’s Day, and our first Summer Servivce!
Our regular summer schedule begins this Sunday, June 15th, with one service of Holy Communion at 9 a.m. We will hold services in the Garden of Seasons on any Sunday that the weather permits, and it will be clear when you arrive whether in fact we will be doing so on a particular Sunday. Coffee hour will be on the front terrace of the church, so do continue to join us in summer.
During the summer we host simple coffee hours, with offerings like cookies, lemonade, and fruit out on the terrace (weather permitting). Please sign up today on the bulletin board in the Upper Parish Hall. If you have any questions, contact the office.
Our nursery will be open, but unstaffed, during the summer services.
Summer Music Series
Love to sing? Enjoy playing an instrument? Have you wanted to participate in the Music Ministry at St. Michael’s? Sign up to participate in the Summer Music Series! All ages and ability levels are warmly welcomed. Please see the sign-up sheet in the Upper Parish Hall or contact the Director of Music, Frank Van Atta, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Book Collection for Masakhane Trust – A Great Success!
Thank you to everyone – young and old alike – who donated books – new, gently used, greatly loved – to our book drive for the Masakhane Trust! St. Michael’s is serving as the main collection area for all of the parishes involved in this project, and we will be shipping the books off this summer. That means there is still a chance to get your books in if you have them! See the collection in Marilyn’s office / Children’s Chapel.
Bishop Shaw’s Remembrance Book
The red remembrance book on the stand in the Upper Parish Hall will be available for folks wishing to record their sentiments until Hall takes and delivers the book to Bishop Shaw on Saturday, June 21st. Please come by and sign it if you haven’t had a chance!
Thursday, 6/26/2014 – 1:00 p.m. to Sunday, 6/29/2014 – 11:30 a.m. at the Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center, 108 Wally Stone Lane, Greenfield, NH.
Come enjoy the wonder of nature and celebrate the gift of family and faith with others at Family Camp. All sorts of families have enjoyed themselves in years past at Family Camp, including grandparents with grandchildren, single parents and godparents. Share worship and rest, outdoor activities and group programs, prayer and laughter with friends old and new. Reconnection and recreation for the whole family, from the youngest camper to the oldest, awaits in the beautiful New Hampshire woods. Find information about the camp and registration here.
Please journey with us as we gather Wednesday nights this spring and in the summer to nourish our questions, prayers and commitment to growing in our faith. We want to offer a safe and scheduled time that allows you to come once, twice, or more often to share readings from scripture, a favorite book, or simply to pray together. We will gather from seven thirty to nine typically in the Upper Parish Hall. We look forward to seeing as many as can come.
Milton Food Pantry Donation
Please keep your donations to the Milton Food Pantry coming! Any items that can be stored in a larder – cans, pasta, jars of peanut butter and jelly, and so forth – will be gratefully received and distributed.
