A Full Sunday, June 14th: Children’s Service, Painting and Picnic

Categories: Events

Be sure to join us as we celebrate our children and teachers, gather for a festive picnic barbecue following the 10 a.m. service, and help paint the Hill House, all on the same day!  Sunday, June 14th is our Annual Children’s Service and Parish Picnic, with a Family Service at 10 a.m. led by children and youth, singing by the Cathedral Choir, awarding of bibles to rising 4th graders, and recognition of Church School teachers and leaders.  Following the service, we will gather in the back for a picnic lunch, a perfect opportunity for all to meet and help out at a low-key, festive celebration.  The Parish Life Commission provides burgers, hot dogs, beverages and ice cream; please bring a dessert (for last names beginning A-F) or side dish (G-Z), or volunteer to set up, grill, or clean up by putting your name on the list this Sunday in the Upper Parish Hall!

If you are able to help us paint walls – in preparation for renting the Hill House – you can come during the 10 a.m. service and join the Property Committee and Vestry inside the Hill House behind the church.  The Rector will bring communion over right after the service for those painters who would like it.  Bring brushes, drop cloths, and rollers if you have them, and then enjoy the picnic afterwards.  See you there!
