The St. Michael’s parish family includes nearly 300 households, including single people, couples, families of different racial and ethnic backgrounds, gay and straight families, families with children of all ages, and many older members who have contributed to the life of the parish for decades. Our diversity is an important part of our identity.
While most parishioners live in the town of Milton, many come from nearby communities such as Quincy, Randolph, Canton, Mattapan, and Dorchester. Some parishioners have been Episcopalians all their lives, others have come from a wide range of religious traditions.
St. Michael’s leadership consists of a Rector and Assistant Rector who are primarily responsible for worship, pastoral care, and Christian formation and a Vestry, the formal lay leadership of parish.
Since 1994, St. Michael’s has been led by our Rector, Samuel S. Rodman, III. In September 2006, our Assistant Rector Ranjit K. Mathews joined the St. Michael’s family. Associate Deacon Jennifer G. Daly, a valued member of the staff, has been part of St. Michael’s since 1994.
