St Michael’s young people and their parents are invited to participate in the 19th annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace this Sunday, May 10, in support of families who have lost children to violence. St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in South End is encouraging participation as part of their B- Peace Program, an anti-violence campaign created to honor the memory of Jorge Fuentes, an active member of St. Stephen’s youth programs who was shot and killed in September 2012. The Walk begins at 8 a.m. at Town Field in Fields Corner, Dorchester. It concludes at 10:30 and will be followed by a Eucharist celebrated by our Diocesan bishop, the Rt. Rev. Alan Gates, at 11. Our plan is to take the Red Line to Fields Corner, meeting at the Milton Village trolley stop at 7:15. Please contact the Rev. Joyce Caggiano or Robert Goodridge by Friday evening if you plan to participate; call the church office, 617-698-1813 or email email@example.com. Wear purple if you have it…the official color of the Walk.
